The Running Through Life concept and logo was born from the tragedies of September 11, 2001. Since then, I and many others have spent the last 20yrs deployed in the defense of this great nation. In those years, running has been a key mental health saving factor for many. Join us on a run this September 11, 2021, as we remember the 2,977 lives lost in 2001 and honor the men and women who have sacrificed the last 20 years defending this great nation. AWS Commerce Platform (CP) InThisTogether
In remembrance of George Floyd’s death last year that helped us unite our voices for change and challenge systemic racism, the Asian hate crimes this year, and to celebrate Pride month we would like CP to host a virtual 5K. The employees can run/walk/bike/swim/row, or engage in any physical activity of their choosing. After all, we all sweat the same and exercise is race, gender, preference, and ethnicity agnostic. The race will also be a great way to get employees to participate in a purposeful team-building activity. Here at Amazon, especially within CP, we are proud of what we are doing as an organization but want to amplify our support and stance by each one of us doing our share and supporting our colleagues, employees, customers, and community.
Pioneers Race to Success
Cripple Creek Victor School District is full of students and employees that are passionate about supporting each other. We want to support our athletes and community with an outdoor track and field stadium. Currently, we have a cracked asphalt circle with dead grass in the middle… our students make this work and try hard- but it does not instill pride. Cripple Creek Junior-Senior High School is located at about 9,500 feet elevation- this track and field complex could be a perfect place for Olympic and professional athletes to train! This will make the facility more than just a huge addition to the school, but potentially for the Colorado community as a whole. But we cannot make this happen without a lot of support. So we are holding a virtual race as a fundraiser to start the train. Run with us and support our race to success! You can run, walk, or crawl with us virtually from anywhere! If you live close, you can also come out in person on July 3rd. The starting line will be at Cripple Creek Victor High School. If you come in person, there will be post-race water and snacks available. If you would like to donate an additional amount to this cause- please send via snail mail to CCV Track and Field, 410 N B Street, Cripple Creek, CO 80813.

A Step From Silence
At Love Me Enough To Leave Inc., we provide resources and assistance to victims and their families of domestic violence. As the pandemic continues the rise of domestic abuse has risen 20% as of May. We would like to show solidarity to victims who are quietly quartered with abusive spouses and let them know we are still working with each step run. Each mile will represent a victim who is waiting to take their first steps from silence and abuse. All proceeds will be the foundation to our home we look forward to opening October 2021.
Over Ovarian Cancer
This race is to support one of the strongest people I know. Tiffani, who had a 22-pound tumor, had it removed like a boss. It ended up being ovarian cancer stage 2 for her biopsy. She has been a trooper. She has stayed strong for her family, enjoyed life, and still has been her cheerful self. She has not changed at all and takes chemo currently. This race is just to support her and the cause to help treat ovarian cancer. All profits will go to ovarian cancer research alliance or OCRA. Let us help someone today know that we are there for them.
Run with Mae
Run with Mae is a 5K/10K created to raise money for three very important organizations close to our hearts. When our daughter Brooklynn Mae was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia last November (2020) at 8 months old - the I Will Right Now Foundation contacted us almost immediately and helped cover payments we weren't even thinking about after our world was turned upside down. They jumped right in to assist us, and we could not be more thankful. With that being said, we would like to donate 45% of the proceeds to I Will Right Now so they can do the same for another family. We have become more aware of the funding and research being done for childhood cancers, and want to be able to help fund research if we can. With that being said, we would like to donate 45% of the proceeds to Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation. If you don't know the story behind Alex's Lemonade Stand - definitely look it up. It's pretty incredible. The other 10% of the proceeds will go to the University of Michigan Mott Children's Hospital Pediatric Oncology floor for the holiday season. We love the 7East crew, and unfortunately know all too well what it's like to be in the hospital during the holidays. They made it as special as they could and it was all possible because of donations given.
