Outrun the Cicada Invasion commemorates the historic convergence of Brood XIX and Brood XIII cicadas after 200+ years. As nature's ancient spectacle unfolds, there's no stopping the cicadas, but there's also no stopping you! As you run, imagine the energy of millions of cicadas emerging in unison, echoing the spirit of endurance and resilience. Share your progress, connect with fellow participants, and celebrate nature's extraordinary phenomenon. This is not just a race-it's a tribute to the unstoppable force of nature and the unstoppable spirit within us all.

By running this race you have supported Southwest Kids Cancer Foundation, Inc, which is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization that provides a cost free summer camp experience for kids with cancer and their siblings. Each summer, the organization serves over 200 kids from all over the Southwestern United States at the camp site in Prescott Arizona. Southwest Kids Cancer Foundation, Inc. is solely committed to ensuring the life-changing programs of Arizona Camp Sunrise and Sidekicks remain available to children and families at no cost. Southwest Kids Cancer Foundation believes that children with cancer should have the same opportunities to experience joys and freedoms as a healthy child, including a meaningful camp experience.
