Phoenix Rising for Haiti (PRH), a 501 ©(3) non-profit organization, is a multidisciplinary medical and rehabilitation team that provides complete care in one of the poorest regions of Haiti. We are raising funds to build our first permanent year-round rehabilitation center. The center will be staffed by both paid Haitian practitioners and volunteers. This center will include an outpatient rehabilitation clinic for general medical care, a rehab center for treatment of orthopedic injuries, and training amputees on new prosthetics. A prosthetics laboratory outfitted to custom fabricate prosthetic legs. A dormitory to house short- and long-term volunteers, and an education center to train locals in orthopedic care, first aid, and prosthetic/orthotic support. The land has been donated and we want to get building!
