Loretta Perfectus Walsh enlisted in the United States Navy on 17 March 1917. She was also the first American active-duty Navy woman, and the first woman allowed to serve in any of the United States armed forces. She was the first and is an inspiration to all of us who serve. Who is your inspiration and why? Let us all celebrate the women who have brought us here today!
