Hand to Hold supports NICU families before, during, and after a NICU stay and infant loss by providing powerful resources for the whole family, and most importantly, one-on-one mentoring from someone who has been there. Any funds that are given to Hand to Hold are used directly to fulfill this mission. Our services to NICU families include support groups (in 5 Texas hospitals and virtually nationwide), counseling services for NICU families, our award-winning peer mentor program, our Milestone Bead program, five podcast channels, educational resources, and online communities for continuing the conversation and ongoing support. All services are free to NICU families and NICU Graduate families and most are offered in both English and Spanish. Since the onset of COVID, we have seen tremendous growth in the request for our services and we are now serving more NICU families than ever before!
