Miles for Madeline is for an incredible little girl who was recently diagnosed with Leukemia. Madeline is fierce, strong, and is constantly looking for ways to "change the world"; and so Miles for Madeline was born. The money raised here will be split between paying for Madeline's medical bills and to give back to UNC Children's. Madeline is always concerned about the kids she is going through treatment with and is always looking for ways to help. Her goal is to give back to all the people at UNC that have helped her along the way and to help bring a smile to the faces of the children surrounding her.
This 5K is a way to help raise money but to also encourage others to get outside and spread the word to pay it forward, make lemonade out of lemons, carpe diem, and love like Madeline.
Welcome to Miles for Madeline 5K. As she started saying during her hospital stay and continues to say EVERY. SINGLE. DAY… “One Step At A Time.” even for 3.1 miles!
