Joined a group of like-minded women who wanted to prove something to ourselves.
I am NOT a runner, but decided to test my mettle. Some training, but was nursing a sore hip most of the time. Anyway, yesterday I bit the bullet and completed the 5K. T-shirt and all! Honestly didn't think I would succeed, but the spirit was willing... Yay for me! Really happy that I didn't have to "compete" in a group -- the virtual piece was key!
The medal is amazing, and I love having the saying on a shirt. It's been one of my favorites for many years. Plus, the proceeds go to a good cause.
I'd never done a 5K race where you could run live with people all across the country (and the world) just by using an app. It was really cool to be able to see their comments and hear times updates for everyone from the trainer while I jogged. It definitely made it feel like I wasn't alone. I loved how positive and motivating everyone was throughout the entire race.
I was a bit nervous as this was my first virtual 5K but it was so easy!
I actually ran on demand and it was cool to have music and the announcer throughout the race. And did I mention the amazing tank!?!? My favorite brand! Excellent quality! I’ll definitely be signing up for another race!

Let’s face it, July in Texas is HOT! The choices for local races for the month of July were slim and nothing seemed to peak my interest. But since I am doing a #medalamonth running challenge this year as part of my New Year's resolution to run more I had to do some race in July! When goneforarun emailed me about the virtual race I was so excited! I could get my race done on my own time and terms and still get a shiny big medal to show off. The brunch so hard tank is super soft and cute. I wish it was more dry fit material for running outdoors but it’s really comfortable so that made up for it. The medal is HUGE and stands out among my race medals. I loved it!! I will be doing more virtual races through goneforarun!
We purchased this virtual race as a way to commemorate the 4th of July.
The medals and the shirts were awesome and will be a treasured part of our running collection.

When your 8-year-old little princess says “I like running” you jump through hoops to give her the start she’s asking for.
Her brother is an elite youth 5k runner and she has never shown interest until this year. She has just completed the New Year's resolution 5k and is fired up to continue working out for the next race! The drive is there! She has traveled all over and seen her 10yr old brother win win win! Could this have been the start to greatness?? Who knows! This was for sure the start to a healthier lifestyle and great family memories are on the way from cheering on these young stars.

we saved this until the 4th of July and ran 4 on the 4th - the medal was perfect.
I purchased this race to run in honor of my husband's 20-year military career and had his name engraved on the back.
The medal is a beautiful design and also crisp clear engraving. The tank for perfect and is so soft and comfortable.
I bought this and another virtual race to help keep me motivated when I am not training for a half marathon...

I have a hard time coordinating runs with friends so a virtual run was perfect.
I'm glad I picked Four Magical Miles to start with. It helped me push myself to the next mile, since I hadn't done it for a while (just had a baby) and I KNEW I could do it. I worse the medal for the rest of the day afterward. Love it!

The virtual run series has proven to be an awesome concept for my wife and m.
We look forward to each event and participate as run partners for each other. This one caught my attention because a portion of the race entry fee was going to Give Kids the World. My niece chose Disney World for her Make a Wish trip in November 2012. She passed away in April 2015 at 11 years old. This medal, the bright colored pink socks, and the gloves remind me of her.

I absolutely love the flexibility this offers. I work long hours and have a rare cxxxxr that has no cure so doing this when its fits in is very valuable to me. You have to have goals that make you feel good and being able to attend and complete is a positive attribute. Thank you!
