The oldest marathon in Tennessee is a looped course (2 loops for the full marathon) so you start and finish at the same location. The first 3 men and women to meet your BQ will also be reimbursed for their Boston Marathon entry fee!

Big Sur is a big name when it comes to marathons - and for a good reason! This California marathon is always accompanied by a weekend of festivities ranging from a pasta dinner to a fitness expo, to a race finish festival!

Canton is another locale that boasts a weekend full of race events, including an expo, and a kids mini-marathon! Canton also rewards entrants who raise more than $500 in donations with a VIP race experience and free entry!

This Nashville weekend extravaganza actually starts on 4/21 with a two-day expo. The main races - marathon, half marathon, 6.15 mile, and 5k - start on Saturday and end with a finish line festival. Sunday is for some family fun, including a short 1-mile race, a kids race, and a Doggie Dash!

This event brings the city together and makes visiting runners feel like part of the community by fundraising for the local Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum. Each entrant is given free entrance to the museum with their registration. Though more of a somber theme, the marathon begins with a second of silence for each of the lives lost in the Oklahoma City bombing, and the course has 168 banners - one for each of the bombing victims - along the route as a powerful reminder to celebrate life.
