Gone For A Run is about celebrating running.

RUN WITH US BLOG

Come, run along with us as we share our joy of everything running.

Music. It's everywhere. It's on our radios on our way to work, on the TV while we unwind, and in our headphones when we want to tune out the world. There's nothing like music to keep you going through your run. Whether you're jamming at the gym, or hiking up that hill on your block, music motivates us in all different ways to keep going. And the beauty is that everyone runs to their own beat.

I'm currently training for my first 10k, Gone For a Run's Log Off, Shut Down, Go Run Virtual 10k, and was curious to see what other people like to run to. So naturally, I asked the only runners I know...my coworkers! Here is the ultimate running playlist from our team at Gone For a Run.

Our President, Julie has songs for every part of her run. "Let's Get It Started" with the Black Eye Peas! Head outside to start your run with "Walking on Sunshine" by Katrina & The Waves. There's nothing like this song and "Happy" by Pharrell to make your run the best it can be! Head on down "Electric Avenue" by Ziggy Marley then run to the awesome beat of "Feel This Moment" by Pitbull. Need to take a walking interval? Slow it down with "Bittersweet Symphony" by the Verve and "Stay With Me" by Sam Smith. Let the sounds of Imagine Dragons pick you back up and keep going with a throwback from Destiny's Child. Once you've finished your run for the day, cool down with Santana's "Smooth" and head back inside with "Carry On" by Fun. That wasn't so bad, was it?!

Lindsay said she has a wide variety on her running playlist too! Having a random playlist is fun...you never know what you're going to end up hearing next! Lindsay likes to run back in time with songs like "Aaron's Party" by Aaron Carter and "Love Drunk" by Boys Like Girls. She also is very talented at running and singing at the same time when she listens to the infamous "Let It Go" from the Frozen Soundtrack and "Make a Man Out of You" from Disney's Mulan.

Rachel is also a multitasking runner when she jams out to "Party in the USA" by Miley Cyrus and "What Makes You Beautiful" by One Direction (she's really upset about Zain leaving the band...). She's also a huge fan of the 90's pop hits...she'll run (and dance) to anything Britney Spears. One of her favorite running songs is "Empire State of Mind" by Jay-Z and Alicia Keys. She even ran to it during the New York Marathon!

In my vast running experiences (about 3 weeks) I found that I like to have a solid beat to keep me running with some house or latin dance music. Some of my favorites are "The Nights" by Avicii, "Boy Oh Boy" by Diplo & GTA, and "Suave" by Nayer. The beats from Timmy Trumpet's "Freaks" and Major Lazer's "Watch out for This" are basically yelling at you to keep running. And when I'm ready to cool down my favorite at the moment is "Goodbye" by Who Is Fancy.

So there you have it! Gone For a Run's Ultimate Running Playlist. From Disney to Diplo the options are endless. It's all about finding the music that makes you want to keep going!
