Mother’s Day is May 8th – and that’s coming up really quickly. If your mother is a runner and you want to get her the perfect gift on her special day, you have come to the right place.  (Alternately, if you’re a mom who runs, maybe you’ll want to leave this blog open on your computer as a great big hint for your kids.  It can’t hurt!)

Some of our most popular items are medal and bib displays – and for good reason. Anyone who runs marathons or half marathons worked really hard for those medals and bibs and putting them in a box or a drawer is not going to cut it for the average runner. And that’s why runners love our medal and bib displays, including Hooked On Medals Hangers,  RunnersWALL, BibFOLIO, MedalART, medal hooks, and the ever popular BibFOLIO Plus, which combines the style and functionality of a BibFOLIO (a place to preserve and display race bibs) and a medal hanger (for all the medals that accompany the race bibs.)  For the mother who has everything… except for the proper places to display her running medals and bibs, you cannot go wrong with any of our medal or bib displays.

You can also choose any of our other medal and bib displays here.

For moms who love jewelry, we have many styles of of jewelry, including necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and individual charms that will be perfect for Mother’s Day. One of my favorites is our Sterling silver necklace with three charms – our stick figure runner, a stamped mom charm, and a pearl.  It’s a stylish homage to mom being a runner, and how important running is to her life. It’s a classic – and classy – way for mom to show how much she loves running… and a reminder she can wear every day that you also care about, and respect her running life.

Our Mother’s Day jewelry section can be found here – with many items to choose from.

If there is one thing runners can never have enough of, it’s t-shirts. We have a variety of t-shirts that are designed for mothers to show their pride in both being a runner and being a mother.  Two very popular styles are the “One Bad Mother Runner” t-shirt and the “Run Like a Mother” t-shirt. They’re fun and stylish for any mom who likes to have a little fun with her running gear.

We all have our race and training rewards, and little pairs as well as running and wine. Lots of runners love to relax with a glass of wine after a run, a race, or a long day. Why not combine the two with a more traditional Mother’s Day gift, such as wine glasses, but with a running theme? Our inspirational and poetic “MOTHER” wine glass is shown below, but we have multiple styles, including standard wine glasses and stemless wine glasses, as well as beer glasses and mugs.

The most important thing to remember on Mother’s Day is it’s a day that’s all about moms – and making sure that they’re happy. It’s about gifts (which can be purchased in our Mother’s Day Shop), but it’s also about spending quality time together, so… make sure you do that as well.  Go for a run with your runner mom – even if you’re not a runner yourself.  Go through mom’s race medals and bibs with her and listen to her stories of all the great races she’s been in and how . And give her a great gift.  Combined, not only will your mom have a wonderful Mother’s Day, but you’ll both have a day to remember for years to come.   Happy Mother’s Day to all the runner moms from Gone For a Run.
