The 10 year relationship between the bank ING and the New York City Marathon is reportedly coming to an end, according to
Sportsbusiness Journal. After a decade long run, ING will no longer be the marathon's title sponsor, and the marathon will no longer be known as the "ING New York City Marathon." The bank broke the news to the New York Road Runners, the marathon's organizers last week, says Sportsbusiness Journal.
The marathon organizers are in talks with several other businesses that are interested in becoming the title sponsor, according to Sportsbusiness Journal. They are also looking for five "Founding Partners" to become new high-visiblity sponsors, Sportsbusiness Journal reports.
Marathoners across the world are all holding their breath to see which contender will come out on top!
