The proceeds from the 5k will go towards the everyday operations of Safe Inc. Of Schenectady. A little about who we are and what we have achieved. Mission: Safe Inc. of Schenectady exists to provide outreach, shelter, counseling, and supportive services to homeless youth who are at-risk and may be vulnerable to or have been subjected to sexual exploitation and trafficking. Vision: Our vision is to end youth homelessness, exploitation, and provide a safe environment within our community where youth can grow into healthy self-sufficient adults.

What we have achieved:

• · Safe Inc. of Schenectady began with one outreach program Project Safe, in 1985.
• · We have grown today to have three programs and a 24/7 shelter to assist with youth and young adults. We provide a Life Skills program for young adults ages 18-35 to help them obtain and maintain safe and stable housing, street outreach for youth ages 12-21 who are couch surfing or living on the streets, and an Anti-Trafficking Program open to any age victims of sex or labor trafficking.
• · Since 1985, Safe has served over 6,500 youth and young adults.
• · The McIntosh House, our youth shelter, serves over 150+ youth a year. • Safe was granted an Aftercare Program that allows us to work with young teens and their families before they get involved in street life.
