In honor of Micah Jr “Poopie”, we have organized a “Run for Hugs” event. 

This will be an annual event honoring Micah and his huge bear hugs; we will be raising funds & donations via a variety of events.

This year Micah’s Hugs has chosen to organize a virtual fun run. Micah’s Hugs will be working in collaboration with Pura Vida Recovery Services who has agreed to match 100% of the funds raised from this event to use to provide those who need financial assistance with an opportunity to receive a scholarship for drug and alcohol addiction treatment. Micah’s hugs is a nonprofit organization that is bringing awareness to substance abuse to break the stigma, educating individuals on drug prevention, and helping those that are suffering with addiction.

Run for Hugs has many races to choose from, you can walk or run 5k, 10k, or 13.1 distances. Grab a friend, your family, coworker and get out and have a great time! Since this is a fun run, dress festive, crazy, and zany, just as Micah was. Make sure to take lots of pictures and share them.
