Cross Training Program for Runners

Gone For a Run - Cross Training Program for Runners

Gone For a Run offers valuable cross training programs and visual guides including video instruction for your ongoing fitness and health. Cross-training strengthens your muscles and reduces the risk of injury.

Mixing up your regular running training each week with other activities such as swimming, cycling, hiking, yoga or resistance training will help your flexibility, balance, muscle mobility and strength. If you repetitively perform the same movement each day your body will become very proficient at those movements but it will limit your overall level of fitness and increases the chance of repetitive movement injury. Cross training is key to maximize your fitness and health. The benefits are impressive, not only does it improve your overall mobility, flexibility and strength it will help reduce overuse injuries.
