Frequently Asked Questions About Gone For a Run's Virtual Race Series

What is a Virtual Race?

A virtual race is a challenge you give yourself to reach a designated goal of finishing a specified distance by running or walking at a time and location of your choice. Just like a regular road race, you are given an official race t-shirt, race bib and an awesome race medal. The big difference is that you can run this race anywhere, with anyone, and any time of the day. For more information visit our How it Works section.

When will I receive my Race Packet?

Once you place your order for your Virtual Race your race packet will ship within 3 business days. The race packet will include a race bib, a medal as well as other designated gear as specified in the race product information. You will also receive an information card with key race dates, the run's distance, and other general information.

Can I run/walk the race on different dates than are specified?

If you are unable to run/walk the race during the specified time period it is absolutely a-ok. It's all about you reaching your goal and completing the challenge. We encourage you to send photos and feedback of your race, so we can share it with the Gone For a Run Virtual Race Series community.

The race is showing 'sold out', will you have more entries available?

Our races are very popular and fill up quickly so we encourage you to sign up early. We designate a specific number of race entries for each race and unfortunately once the race is sold out registration is closed. We announce and launch new races every few weeks so please check back with us often to see what awesome new virtual races we have on the calendar. How does the charity component work?

We donate a percentage of each race to a designated charity. Giving back is an important component of Gone For a Run's Virtual Race Series and one that we are proud of. We invite you to read more about our growing family of charity's and the donations made.

How do a submit my race photos to be included in the Race Recap?

It's easy! Simply log on to our Facebook page, http://facebook.com/GoneForaRUN. Then, post your race photos, race time, and any other race details you wish to share with our supportive community of runners. Also, please sure your race photos on Instagram and Twitter, using the race's exclusive hash tag that is indicated on your race's information card that is included with your packet.

Can I exchange the race shirt I received for another size?

We ask that you carefully select your size and refer to our size charts when ordering your race packet because we do have a no return/no exchange policy on the Virtual Race Series races packets. But, we get it ...there are some situations when an exchange is important and needed. So if you need to exchange a tee we can accommodate that request for a small fee. Please contact us at support@goneforarun.com and we will be happy to assist.
